New House

So, we started with this in our backyard. Unfortunately, I don't have a better "before" picture.
And turned it into this.

Next step will be killing the grass on the hill. It is practically life-threatening to try to mow, as Russ can attest.

At the cemetery where Kate is buried.

The house. We are so thankful to own all four walls and not have to worry about bothering the neighbors below us or to either side!

Thanks for the photos. Now I somewhat have a picture in my mind of where you are! Aren't mom's skills impressive! She never ceases to amaze me. Especially how she remembers the scientific names of all the plants I ever ask her about!

I love your new place! So different than the city living you were so willing to leave behind! That is going to be a huge chore to remove the grass...and I'll speak from experience with large bark areas...they are a nightmare to weed! Anyway, the yard saga is a never ending debate at our house...from wishing we had a bigger yard to now longing for a cement yard and close proximity to a landscaped park...yards take lots of time!

Cool garden. This one's way bigger than the one you had in Greenlake. Congradulations as well on the upcoming graduation.
